Oregano, Wild
Origanum (or oregano) is a useful oil to use in burners or diffusers and must be used cautiously (very small amounts) in massage oils. Oregano may help with viral diseases, circulation, muscular and articular pain and bronchitis. Oregano is also used as a respiratory stimulant.
Oregano is a highly active oil with powerful anti-microbial properties that can be a strong skin irritant—its use should be limited to purifying diffusions. Add lemon to sweeten the spicy, medicinal aroma. Warms and assists improvement of circulation, digestion, mental clarity and alertness. It relieves muscle aches and pains and assists in increasing physical endurance and energy. But it increases perspiration. It may assist in reducing cellulite. |
