Orange, Sweet  Citrus Sinensis

The familiar orange scent makes this one of the world’s most popular oils and the heart of many floral blends. Sweet orange’s gentle, clarifying nature cheers the heart and brightens the mood. Diffuse it often to maintain a wholesome, positively charged atmosphere.

It is an antidepressant, antispasmodic and mildly sedative. It makes a very cheery bath in the winter, but like most citrus oils, it may cause skin irritation, so use very few drops when blending into products that will be used on the skin, and avoid sunbeds and direct sunlight if you have it in your skincare product. 


With a rich, fresh citrus scent, the essential oil of Orange lifts the spirits yet is calming to the nerves. Blend with spicy oils for cheering baths. Add to massage oil for digestive system. Believed to brighten dull complexions. Encourages sleep.
