Bergamot Citrus Bergamia ~ Family, Rutaceae
This light, fruity citrus oil uplifts the spirit and emotions with its fresh and invigorating citrus fragrance, and is good for confidence building. Bergamot is most well known for its antidepressant and soothing abilities. It is an uplifting oil that is useful when treating nervousness, anxiety and insomnia and may even be helpful for hyperactivity. In skincare, Bergamot's antiseptic properties make it excellent for oily, acneic and infected skin conditions. May also be used daily as a room fragrance, bath oil or personal perfume. It is commercially used in the production of Earl Grey Tea. Bergamot is a key ingredient in classic colognes. Bergamot’s cleansing properties complement tea tree’s purifying actions while moderating tea tree’s medicinal aroma.
